The Simpson County School Board has approved a revised 2021-2022 academic calendar. This calendar is placed on our website and social media.

The purpose of the revised calendar is to create remediation days built-in to the school year for targeted instruction of students who are in need. We are not transitioning to a year-around school. We only backed up the start of school by one week to allow for the remediation days. The school year will still conclude before Memorial Day.
The global pandemic robbed students and teachers of valuable learning time. We at Simpson County are committed to do everything in our power to combat this learning loss. The revised academic calendar is the first of many steps in the right direction.
