The board approved trying a new bonding agent that can be used on gravel roads.  On a trial basic, Soil Pack 250 will be applied to H. B. Smith Road.  The outcome of the product will allow the supervisors to decide on purchasing a larger amount.  President Mitchell Chatman questioned where the money would come from to pay for the trial.  Eric Bowen, County Administrator, informed the board “we have the money to purchase 60 gallons.”  If the product proves to be sustainable, money will need to be budgeted in the upcoming budget hearings for a large amount.
