The Simpson Central School (SCS) Culinary Connection recently visited the Nissan Café by Nick Wallace Culinary at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson for an end-of-the-year field trip.
While there, the students were prepared a three-course meal – complete with appetizers, entrees and desserts – by world-renowned chef and Bravo’s Top Chef Season 19 contestant Nick Wallace.
Chef Wallace is an accomplished award-winning cook from Jackson, who operates several culinary-based businesses and nonprofit organizations. He has also appeared on other domestic and international television programs such as Food Network’s Chopped.
Students in the SCS Culinary Connection have prepared various meals throughout the year, including brunch for the Unsung Heroes of Simpson Central and Simpson County School District leadership.
The group is sponsored by SCS Principal Antionette Harvey-Woodall and Felicia Moore.
