Following misbehavior of a fan at a recent Simpson Academy basketball game, the Cougar athletic program has been placed on probation and fined by the MAIS.
If a fan is asked to leave the gym or stadium, they along with the school are fined.
This is the first incident at Simpson; therefore, the school will be eligible to compete for championships in all sports.
If SCA has other incidents, there is a possibility the school could be banned from participating in the playoffs. Probation covers all sports for one year.
Students, fans, and parents must control their behavior at all times.
Lesson learned.
