The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Matthew 6:33: “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” God wants His children’s love and devotion. He is our Father; we are His children. We must keep those designations clear and distinct. He wants only good things for us, but He expects us to look to Him for guidance, comfort, and protection. We must never try to take advantage of God’s goodness by expecting preferential treatment or be found guilty of seeking selfish gain. He will see that our needs are supplied, but not all our wants. We must trust Him and His righteous judgment to hold true to His promises. Study His Word to learn and know, then trust and obey. “When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, what a glory He sheds on our way. While we do His good will, He abides with us still and with all if we trust and obey.” Amen!
