The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Matthew 6:33: “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” The apostle is quick to remind new Christian converts that Christ is to be their focus. The cares of life will naturally intervene, but with eyes and hearts fixed on Jesus, He is the source of strength needed to help deal with every crisis. In the process, the Christian is assured that he will be given blessings too bountiful to receive. So, as the hymn tells us, “Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.” Stay focused. Amen!
