Law and Public Safety students at Simpson County Technical Center (SCTC) recently attended Discovery Day at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).
Discovery Day is designed to expose high school students to careers in healthcare and research and the educational programs that lead to those careers. The single-site, rotation-based event showcased and highlighted several schools, programs, centers and departments at UMMC.
SCTC students visited different booths and learned about the fulfilling, financially rewarding careers in hospitals, medical clinics, and dental offices.
