SCSD School Board Completes Purchase of Land for New Consolidated High
The Simpson County School District Board of Education held a Special Called Meeting March 28 to finalize the purchase of approximately 103 acres of land for the construction of a new state-of-the-art consolidated high school.
The land was purchased from landowner Phillip Davis at the final sale of $497,500 – the average appraised value as determined by two certified appraisers. The land was paid for by district funds.
The future home of Simpson County High School, the exact location of the property is just north of Howard Industries and south of AirSouth Heating and Cooling on Highway 49.
