Simpson Lady Cougar Softball team defeated the Columbia Cougars while traveling to Columbia on August 18th, 2015 with a close game ending with a win for Simpson of 4-2. Columbia Cougar Softball team met up with the SCA Lady Cougars one again on Simpson’s home field tonight at the Sportsplex. Columbia jumped out early in the game with a lead over Simpson 3-0. This Simpson team has become a bonded unit of athletes, they never give up. Simpson loaded the bases as Molly Shotts comes up to bat. Molly’s bat was on fire tonight as she hit her very first beautiful Grand Slam Home Run over the left field and in a District game. Molly did not stop there, as she came up to bat next time around, another Home Run with the ball hitting the scoreboard in the Center field..
Simpson Lady Cougar’s claims the win over the Columbia Couagars with a ending score of 14-3.
