Saws are buzzing all over Magee and the county!  The straight line winds did a number on our area.  We are blessed to not have more damage than we do.

Now That’s a Stump!

Now That’s a Stump!

July 17, 2026

Those crazy winds woke me up and just held on for dear life!

The fire truck and police cars were down the street from my home early this morning cutting limbs from a huge tree that fell in the Craven yard.

Craven yard

Police cars and emergency personal are all over the city doing a good job as usual.

Well, Crazy Day got the boot!  We might have thought “rain or shine” it’s going on…but when it comes to winds…there isn’t much choice.  The Chamber had a great day planned and I sure hate things didn’t work out.  I’m just saying,  I was the most excited about the band Haircane coming to entertain and “Touch a Truck” at the Fire Department!  I hope both activities will just come another time!  I was looking forward to the Show Choir performance.  We just had a great day planned.

I am so thankful no one was seriously injured.

My front porch looked like a bomb went off…a few broken pots and plants…but mess is everywhere.  I can surely deal with that…so glad the dead tree which is waiting to be cut  didn’t decide to land on my house!

Be safe…and help your neighbor.  Speaking of helping your neighbor, I got a precious phone call this morning from Charlie White.  Albert wanted Charlie to call me and see if I was ok or if he needed to come cut limbs.  Man, that meant so much to me.  Being alone, when something like this happens, it is scary.  What would we do without our wonderful friends.
