Ironically, Bailey Sartin of Magee played her last collegiate game on the same field she started playing softball at the age of 6. Bailey plays for Southwest Community College in Summit. The state Junior State softball tournament was moved to the Jimmy Clyde Sportsplex due to excessive rainfall over the last few days. Magee’s Sportsplex can accommodate heavy rainfall with the artificial turf and allow ball play shortly after a rain.
Bailey is a graduate of Simpson County Academy and received a scholarship to play for Southwest Community College. After falling to Co-Lin Monday, May 13, 2019, Bailey will hang-up her cleats as she begins a new venture. She plans to attend The University of Southern Mississippi and major in Speech Pathology.
Bailey is pictured with her parents, Ben and Joy Sartin, and her biggest cheerleader, grandmother Betty Cabe.
