Sarah Mae Walker Warren, 78, went to sing in Heavens choir, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Sarah was an active member,when health permitted, of Weathersby Baptist Church. She was a former choir director and loved to sing. She sang many specials during Sunday service. Sarah loved the Lord and her fellow man, she served on several mission trips.
Sarah is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Warren; parents; father, Frank M. Walker, mother, Louise Jones Valentine, and bonus father, James “Kenny” Valentine; brother, Frank “sonny” Walker; sisters, Betty Walker Olney and Ann Valentine Welter; brothers-in-law, Norman Olney and Kent Gilliam and sister-in-law, Billie Walker; and great-nephew Austin Smith.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Weathersby Baptist Church in Mendenhall. Burial will follow in Weathersby Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Stephen Keen will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601)847-4401
Those left to cherish their memories of Sarah are; sisters, Pat Gilliam, Mendenhall, Mississippi and Elaine Sanders (Billy, Mountain View, Arkansas, aunt, Joyce Hall, Gum Springs, Mississippi, many nieces, nephews and a host of Family and friends.
Sarah will be missed by all those who knew her.
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1.
