Sarah C. Rayner, 80 of Raleigh, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 02, 2022, at Magee General Hospital in Magee, Mississippi. She was born Monday, October 27, 1941 in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 04, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church at 2267 SCR 540-2, Raleigh, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Raleigh, Mississippi. Special music will be provided by Mr. David Jordan and Mrs. Lynn Jenkins.  The burial will follow in Merchant Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Brother Stevie Hand, Brother Anthony Grayson, and Brother Shane Lambert will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Mrs. Sarah was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Raleigh, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She enjoyed traveling, cruising, and deer hunting. She was an excellent cook and made sure that the food was ready when you got there.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Survivors include her loving husband, Frankie Rayner of Raleigh, MS;  sons, Dale Hester (Brenda) of Raleigh, MS, and Rodney Hester, Sr. of Raleigh, MS; daughter, Rita Hester Traxler (Scotty) of Raleigh, MS; grandchildren, Brandon Hester (Mechelle) of Raleigh, MS, Rodney Hester, Jr. (Krystal) of VA, Chasity Hester King (Anthony) of Raleigh, MS, Cacee Traxler Payne (Cody) of Wooster, OH, Johnathan Traxler of Magee, MS, Aiden Rayner of Laurel, MS, and Kain Rayner of Raleigh, MS; great-grandchildren, Kristen Martin Greenwood (Monty) of Mendenhall, MS, Justin Williams of Raleigh, MS, Dalton Hester of Raleigh, MS, Blake Hester of Crystal Springs, MS, Landon Hester of VA, Peyton King of Raleigh, MS, Cati Payne of Wooster, OH, Maci Payne of Wooster, OH, Braedon Hester of VA, Jordyn King of Raleigh, MS, Sara Beth Payne of Wooster, OH, and Mary Klaire Payne of Wooster, OH; nephew, Ace Bowen of Raleigh, MS; two great-great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mellie Sally of Martinville, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Hester Jr., Brandon Hester, Johnathan Traxler, Kain Rayner, Dalton Hester, Anthony King, and Cody Payne.

Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Williams, Blake Hester, Landon Hester, Peyton King, and Braedon Hester.
