Sam Maddox passed away on May 11, 2016, at the age of 61. He was born on July 26, 1954, to Wilburn Hilton Maddox and Otsie Marie (Upton) Maddox.
Sam was a local farmer and worked with his family in agriculture his entire life.
He is survived by one son, Sam Maddox (Jessica); four daughters, Amy Wood (Shelton), Alecia Bacon (Dustin), April McNair (Jason), Samantha Hanna (Josh); two brothers, Robert Maddox, Arnold Maddox; sister, Pansy Maddox; eleven grandchildren, Karlee, Mackenzie, Gage, Tanner, Avery, Garrett, Skylar, Jaycob, J.B., Lucy, Lincoln; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stephen Maddox.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. Services are scheduled for Sunday, May 15, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Tutor Funeral Home Chapel in Magee with interment following in Sharon Cemetery. Dr.Timothy Hubbard will officiate.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
