Sammie Tebo, long time Magee resident, has been declared the winner in the Alderman position for Ward 3.
Following the resignation of Alderman Lane Steele due to health reasons, the position became available. Tebo was the only candidate to qualify. Sammie and his wife Candy have lived in Magee in Ward 3 for 43 years.
A ruling from the Secretary of State’s office stated no election is required. The Secretary of State is sending a form resolution to adopt appointing Sammie Tebo to the vacant seat.
I interviewed Sammie Thursday. He is anxious to represent his ward and of course, clean up is one of his top priorities.
