At the Mississippi Girlchoir’s Spring Concert held on May 6th, Sadie Kate Kennedy of Magee was announced as the 2018 recipient of the Lillian Lee Spirit of Girlchoir scholarship award. This scholarship is awarded each spring to a Junior who is a longtime member of the Mississippi Girlchoir. The winner exemplifies the spirit, skills & standards of the Mississippi Girlchoir set forth by founder Lillian Lee. The winner also represents the Mississippi Girlchoir in other areas of the winner’s musical activities.

Sadie Kate is the 17 year old daughter of Brian C. & Audra Kennedy of Magee. She is the granddaughter of Shelby & Barbara Colson, and Bobbie Kennedy & the late Jim Kennedy all of Magee. 

Sadie Kate is pictured with Mississippi Girlchoir Executive Director Kathryn Rodenmeyer and Artistic Director & Bel Canto Director Scott Sexton.
