Ruby Joyce Jones, age 84 of Magee, passed from this life to her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 21, 2025. She was born in Magee, Mississippi, on July 25, 1941, to Hillon Ainsworth and Ruby Gay Sullivan.
Joyce was born and raised in Mize, MS. She married her husband, James Marcus Jones, and they moved to the Martinville Community in Simpson County. They became active members of the community and started their lives together, raising their family. She was a faithful member of Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a very caring person. Joyce loved all of her family and looked forward to gatherings and spending time together for holidays, special occasions, Sunday dinners, and any other opportunity she could. She also loved working in the yard, shopping, and laughing with friends and family. She will be remembered for her daily habit of enjoying a glass of milk, a simple pleasure.
In addition to her devotion to family, Joyce enjoyed her career at the Mississippi Department of Mental Health’s Boswell Regional Center, where she was loved by employees and those she served. She retired after 28 years of service as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Community Services.
She is survived by her husband, James Jones; children, Jamie Jones, Mark Jones (Della,) Carol Jones McWilliams, and Jeff Jones, all of Martinville, MS; brother, Ray Ainsworth (Sherree), Taylorsville, MS; grandchildren, Calan Barlow (Cole,) Gluckstadt, MS, Zach Jones (Lindsey,) Sumrall, MS, Luke Jones, Mozelle, MS; Blane Jones, Magee, MS, Katie Jones, Mount Olive, MS, and Joseph Jones, Magee, MS; great-grandchildren, Allie Kate and Maddox Jones, Sumrall, MS; step-grandson, Trey Stirckland, Daphne, AL; step-granddaughter, Ashley Hale (Bryan,) Nashville, TN; step great-grandchildren, Maddox, Jackson, Ace, and Steele Strickland, Conner and Ellie Hale; and many loving cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hillon Ainsworth and Ruby Gay Sullivan, and son-in-law, Stan Jones.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Shane Arnold officiating.
Pallbearers are Zach Jones, Luke Jones, Blane Jones, Joseph Jones, Cole Barlow, and Mike Davis. Honorary pallbearer is Perry Sorey.
Interment will follow at Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 206 Good Hope Road, Mendenhall, MS 39114, off Hwy 541 North.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
