George Clifton McWilliams, 83 of Mendenhall, MS passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Magee General Hospital in Magee, MS. He was born on Friday, February 27, 1942, in Simpson County, MS.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 8:30 am until the service at 11:30 am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. Bro. Andy Gipson and Bro. Stacey Reeves will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
George was a carpenter for 47 years. He loved being outdoors, especially fishing and hunting with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow McWilliams; mother, Willie Maddox McWilliams; brother, Paul McWilliams; sister, Patricia Walker; and grandson, Hunter McWilliams.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carol Bynum McWilliams; son, Gregg McWilliams (Angie); daughter, Melissa Dollar (Todd); brother, Dwight McWilliams (Debbie); grandson, Brady McWilliams; He is further survived by many relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be David Gainey, Jeff Butler, Anthony Garner, Terry McWilliams, Ron Burns, and Frank Bynum.
