Ruby Elizabeth McIntyre, 89 of Palestine, Texas passed from this life on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at her Residence in Palestine, Texas.

Born Friday, February 5, 1926 in Braxton, MS she was the daughter of the late Emery Sheppard and the late Dora Rainey Sheppard. She was the wife of the late Orville McIntyre.

She was a member of North Jackson Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, William “Mac” McIntyre (Carol) of Palestine, TX and Kenneth McIntyre of Paris, TX, daughter, Carolyn Jones (Janus) of Williamsburg, KY; 17 grand children; 37 great grand children and 4 great great grand children.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Phyllis Manning.

A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall with Bro. Janus Jones and Bro. John Marcum officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Jackson, MS.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
