At least 2 railroad (RR) crossings will be closed in the city of Magee beginning next week. The RR crossings are located at the end of 2nd Avenue and the end of 1st Street (near Rankin Body Shop).
The crossings are closed for repairs. City barricades will be in place to block traffic. Mayor Dale Berry wants citizens to know Canadian National is blocking the crossings not the City of Magee.
Work began Friday on areas near the crossings. Residents need to proceed with caution.
(Sue Note: I live next to the RR tracks. A railroad “machine” is working in that area…so be careful. The “machine” is crossing the tracks now with no barricades in place)
