Royce Foster II, age 72, of Magee, MS passed away on October 9, 2021, at Magee General Hospital. He was born to Royce Foster and Bobbie (Duckworth) Foster on January 12, 1949, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS.
He graduated from Magee High School where he excelled in football, baseball, track, and basketball. He then went on to graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree. Royce retired after thirty- four years as an educator and coach. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Magee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf.
He is survived by his son, Royce “Chip” Foster (Brooke) of Grenada, MS; grandsons, James Luke Foster, Jack Anderson Foster of Grenada, MS; sisters, Joy Harris of Magee, MS, Jo Ann Foster (Gary) of Russellville, AR; nephews, Scott Foster Harris of Hattiesburg, MS, James (Jay) Goodman Foster of Peninsula, OH; nieces, Celisa Foster Frith of Brandon, MS, Jennifer Harris Moulton of Roswell, GA and Jamie Foster of Stillwater, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Royce and Bobbie Foster of Magee, MS; niece, Joell Harris McBeth of Magee, MS and brother-in-law, Don Harris of Magee, MS.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at First Baptist Church of Magee on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Jim Taylor and Bro. Andre Pickering officiating. Interment will follow at Magee City Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
