Richard was informed in the year 2000 that he had cancer. During the next twenty years, cancer would come and go in his body. He endured his cancer battles and dialysis in hopes that one day he would be cancer-free! He was a fighter!!! Even with all the sickness in his body, he still tried to have an amazing attitude of hope.  His one last surgery to remove all known cancer ended with complications that lead to the discovery of brain cancer that was previously undiagnosed.

He is survived by his parents, Frank E. Stubbs and Bobbie Jean Stubbs and one brother, Lee Stubbs. He is also survived by two aunts, Faye (Jason) Chamberlain; Gale (Danny) Doster, and one uncle, Joe (Susan) Walker and numerous relatives.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow in Magee City Cemetery. Bro. Steve Harrell will officiate.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee
