Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Rho Iota Zeta Chapter, in Mendenhall, MS, invites you to participate in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® walk and the Painting Mendenhall Pink event on October 16, 2021, 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. Rho Iota Zeta Chapter commits to raising more than $2,000.00 to help create a world without cancer. [Mendenhall, MS,)

— Once again, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Rho Iota Zeta Chapter is taking part in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk to help save lives from breast cancer. This walk will take place on October 16, 2021, in downtown Mendenhall, MS, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The registration fee is $5.00.

There will also be a Survivor’s Strut to honor all breast cancer survivors! In addition to the walk, we will have a “Paint Your Door Pink” Contest for businesses to participate in decorating their doors for Breast Cancer Awareness. The business with the best door will win a trophy!

In communities across the nation, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is committed to raising money to help fund groundbreaking breast cancer research, provide free, comprehensive information and support, and help people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it may be easier to treat. “The American Cancer Society provides information and support to those touched by breast cancer and funds cutting-edge research to better understand, prevent, find and treat the disease,” said Soror Temekia Agba, the Making Strides Coordinator.

“Rho Iota Zeta is proud to be participating nationwide in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events in our communities and is committed to helping the Society lead the fight for a world without breast cancer.” Making Strides is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting more than 200 communities nationwide to celebrate breast cancer survivors, pay tribute to loved ones lost, and raise funds to end breast cancer.
