Rex L Hammons, 76, of Sylvarena died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his residence in Sylvarena. He was born Sunday, September 17, 1939 in Sylvarena.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Magee. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Methodist Church in Raleigh. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031.
Mr. Hammons is preceded in death by his parents Herman “Pee Wee” Hammons and Lillian Hammons; Brother – Randy Hammons.
Mr. Hammons is survived by his wife – Joan Forrest Hammons of Raleigh. sons – Chris Hammons of Raleigh, Keith Hammons (Sandy) of Morton, Ken Hammons (Joanne) of Raleigh; daughters – Paula Sims (Dewayne) of Raleigh, Angela Reulet (Lynn)of Raleigh, Rexann Hammons of De Pere, WI; Grand Children – Joshua Hammons, Kelly Sims, Kayla Sims , Hannah Hammons, Christen Hammons, Child – Brandon Hammons, Matthew Hammons, Samantha Hammons, Dawn Reulet, Dalton Reulet, Madison Hammons, Halle Hammons; brothers – Jerry H. Hammons (Nancy), Ronnie Hammons (Suzie) and Davy Hammons (Renee).
Visitation will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in Magee.
