On October 1st 2018 there was the grandest celebration in Heaven. Ella Nora Bishop, who was born November 18th 1933 to the late E.C. (Doc) and Ila Green, traded her aged, exhausted and weakened body, of 84 years, for a never ending life that is now free from all pain and care. She made preparations for this transformation years ago when she accepted, as her Lord and Savior, the giver of all life, Jesus Christ. She loved singing and working in her home church, Goshen Baptist Church. She also traveled for many years singing gospel music with her family. She lived her life for Jesus and in doing so she was a devoted wife of 65 years to her husband, Billy F. Bishop Sr. (Deceased) and was a loving and devoted mother to her 4 children; Debra Grant Bishop (Allen), Billy Bishop Jr. (Robbin), Kevin Bishop (Evelyn) and Nolan Bishop (Stacy). Her life, her love and her guidance also influenced the lives of her 12 grandchildren; Brooke Grant, Paige Sullivan, Peyton Grant, Tod Bishop (Deceased), Courtney Bishop, Emily Dailing, Sarah Brewer, Rachel Wammack, Rose Bishop (Deceased), Naomi Bishop, Alexis Bishop and Mercy Bishop. She will not be forgotten by her 18 great-grandchildren, two brothers; B.E.Green and Johnny Green, two sisters; Anita Wallace and Adra Luckey and a host of nephews, nieces, other family members and friends. She was welcomed at her new address by those who preceded her in death previously mentioned but also includes; brothers, Amie green, Pascal Green, W.A. Green and sisters, Juanita Scales and Joyce Green. She and her husband sang of being together in Heaven. That promise has now been granted. She always sought to find the good in others and never met a stranger. She will be dearly missed. Please make your reservations now for even a bigger celebration that will be held very soon when we all get there!
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Bishop, Sr.; parents, E. C. Green and Ila Green; grandchildren, Tod Bishop and Rose Bishop; brothers, Amie Green, Pascal Green, and W.A. Green; sisters, Juanita Scales and Joyce Green.
