Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves extended the executive order of the statewide mask mandate in place until the end of September. The original order was set to expire Monday, September 14, 2020.
The extended orders come with some changes for restaurants. New orders will allow parties of 10. Previously only parties of 6 were allowed. Buffets and self service drinks can reopen, business and retails can not operate at 75% capacity (previously operation was 50% capacity).
Gyms are allowed to open and operate at 75% capacity and remain open 24 hours.
Group gatherings where social distancing is not possible are limited to 10 people inside and 50 people outside.
Group gatherings where social distancing is possible are limited to 20 people indoors and 100 people outside.
Mask are still a requirement at this time, and social distancing is still in place.
