I was blessed with the best bunch of sorority sisters while in college. My Chi Omega USM girls still get together every year in January. I was unable to experience the beach trip this year, but Price (one of the main hooters—owls are the Chi O symbol) shared the list. I chose a few to share with you!  (Pictured are “girls” from my college days:  Nancy Price, Teresa Moore, Glenda Grubbs, Louise Brown, Meredith Liggio, Jane Armstrong, Alva Peden, Nancy Farrar, Margy Moffett, Martha Bunch, Laureen Chandler, Macy McKay, and Beverly Trask—who shared some of these tips!

Put a coffee filter in the bottom of a pot so the dirt doesn’t fall out!

Hairspray will take ink out of anything

Stains in a toilet? Try a pumice stone!

Spray alcohol around the room or on the door for mosquitos—-will kill and keep away

Male urine deters deer and other wild animals

Four things to keep under your bed: a bicycle helmet or hard hat, shoes you can slip on in the dark, a flashlight, and a pair of leather gloves. (Many of these girls have lived through hurricanes and storms)

UTI—pee and when it stops, you stand up, then sit back down and the pee starts again. (Don’t you just love women!). D Mannose for UTI infections

Sinus infection—tap in sinus area and forehead; lay on the bed and hang your head off of the bed. It breaks up the sinus

Pillow case storage for sheet set

Coconut oil and sugar—exfoliates your lips; put it on your lips before e and also works on crepe stuff on your arms

Stick a bread clip under making or packing tape

Pour alcohol inside a shoe that is too tight, rollout around, and wear the shoes around for awhile. Also, put a bag of water, sealed, into your shoe then shoe into the freezer (the ice expands and makes the shoe a tiny bit bigger)

Clean lamp shades with dryer sheets

Ok, friends! That’s the helpful hints from the Chi Omega Beach Reunion 2018. Let me know if any work for you!

Have a great day!
