Radiography program at Co-Lin sees continued success in pass rate

WESSON- The Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) program at Copiah-Lincoln Community College has a long history of program success, and the 2023 graduating class is no exception. The 15 students in the May 2023 graduating class have earned a 100 percent pass rate on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) exam. Each student passed this difficult exam on their first try and each student is successfully employed in the field of radiography.

“The continued success of the MRT program at Co-Lin is because of the dedicated work of our students and instructors,” said Kelly Fenwick, Radiography Program Director. “We are grateful for the clinical education sites who partner with the college to offer our students an on-site learning opportunity and earn critical hands-on training that will help them be successful in the workforce.”

The Medical Radiologic Technology program is a two-year technical program designed to prepare graduates for employment as a radiologic technologist or radiographer. Radiographers use equipment that emits ionizing radiation to image internal structures of the body. Employment opportunities include various health care facilities such as hospitals, doctors’ offices, medical clinics, imaging centers and sports medicine clinics. The deadline to apply for the fall class each year is February 1. Learn more about the program and apply at www.colin.edu/mrt.
