The Mississippi District Office presented a top lender award to Peoples Bank on a recent visit. District Director Janita Stewart, Supervisory Lender Relations Specialist Rhonda Fisher, and Lender Relations Specialist Rosetta Harris made the presentation to the bank officials at their facility in Magee, MS. The Mississippi District Office recognized its Top Lenders and Top Certified Development Centers during Small Business Week Awards Event in early May. Due to schedule conflicts, Peoples Bank was unable to be present at the event to receive the award. Peoples Bank has been a SBA guaranteed lender for 28 years and also has Preferred Lender Program, SBA Express and Export Express authority. The bank made 36 loans for $12,741,100 to small businesses within its footprint, and ranked 2nd Runner-Up Dollar & 3rd Runner-Up Loan Volume Lender for FY 2016 lending. These loans served to create and retain 344 jobs in the state.
