All the “movement” at the shopping center on highway 49 is ….the shopping center is getting a “face lift!” I do not know how much is going to be done…but the place should look better soon. The drain pipes that are coming from the roof will not be left “raw.” The pipes will be encased. Hopefully, the old service station in the middle of the parking lot will be removed. The area is an eyesore and needs to be cleaned!!!

The swearing in ceremony for the City of Magee officials is Friday, June 30th at 5 PM  at the Civic Center.  Judge Gerald Martin will perform the ceremony.  Everyone is invited

No move in date for Love’s…but it’s getting closer and closer. The highway department continues to work on the area.

Don’t forget Magee’s Farmer’s Market is opening Saturday morning 9-1. We need to support this venture and push to get more vendors!

Many of you are aware of the situation with a sex offender in our area and near the city park. The person is still in jail. I am waiting on a complete report from the Magee PD before releasing detailed information.

Brittany Sullivan Bishop is opening a boutique next to the new Jose’s soon. “All Guised Up” will probably open before Jose moves his restaurant…we’ll keep watching. Brittany is excited!

Don’t forget to mark June 24th from 2-4 as the date for the Retirement Reception for Mayor Jimmy Clyde. Everyone is invited! The event will be held at the Civic Center.

Also, on the night of June 24th, Simpson Academy is hosting an Alumni Game with funds raised to go to the Simpson County Tornado Victims. The game is going to be hilarious! Diane McPhail says all 3 of her girls are going to play in the tournament! How fun and funny! Hope to see you there.

Many hearts are hurting in our community. Please pray for the people of our area.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Love ya’ll
