Peggy Strieff Everett
(November 29, 1942 – March 22, 2023)
Peggy Strieff Everett, 80 of Harrisville, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sunday, November 29, 1942, in Simpson County, Mississippi.
Mrs. Peggy was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church in Georgetown, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed reading the Bible daily, working in her house and yard, listening to the birds, and most of all spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband “the father of her children”, Billy Spikes and her second husband, Billy Ray Everett; father, Alton Odell Strieff; mother, Cleo Myrtis Westmoreland Strieff; brother, Kelton Strieff; and son-in-law, Tommy Stewart.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sheila Stewart of Harrisville, MS and Lisa Spikes Hayman of Harrisville, MS; two grandchildren, Ginger Stewart Warren (David) of Pinola, MS and Billy Michael Hayman (Laura) of Mendenhall, MS; three great-grandchildren, Kady Stewart of Pinola, MS, Kinley Lowrey of Pinola, MS and Eli Hayman of Mendenhall, MS; one sister, Rosemary Strieff Dunaway of Harrisville, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church, 187 Highway 28, Georgetown, Mississippi 39078.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown, Mississippi. Bro. Scott Sones will officiate. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Marilyn Walker. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Pallbearers will be David Warren, Eli Hayman, Mike King, Chris Dunaway, Taylor Dunaway, and Scott Venable.
