Peggy June Jones, 73 of Texarkana, AR passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Magee General Hospital in Magee, MS. She was born Friday, December 22, 1950 in Louisville, Mississippi.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date.

Peggy was a long-time resident of Texarkana, AR. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She worked tirelessly throughout her life. She loved tending to her flowers and working in her garden. She loved football, always cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks and the New Orleans Saints. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan Jones; daughter, Brenda Jo Comans Kirk; father, Jodie R. Walker; mother, Hilda G. Roach Babb; brother, Benny McHann; sisters, Sybil Maness, and Shirley Jordan; and grandson, Jesse Hamilton.

Survivors include her son, Michael Comans (Janette) of Mount Olive, MS; daughters, Rebecca Ann Comans Jeanes (Chris) of Mount Olive, MS and Melissa Comans LeBouef (Shane) of Destrehan, LA; step-sons, Greg Jones and Josh Jones; step-daughter, Jill Jones; grandchildren, Robin Lowery, Joey Lowery (Aleisha), Yancy Harper, Amber Hernandez (Nelson), Ashley Reilly, Casey Jeanes, Megan Kirk, Samantha Leach, Dakota LeBouef and Christian LeBouef; brothers, David McHann (Wanda) and Dale Walker; sisters, Linda Thomas (Mike) and Norma Cameron (Tom); Numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
