Peggy was born and raised in Taylorsville, Mississippi.  She attended Taylorsville High School.  Through the years of marriage and being a mom, the call to nursing never left her heart.  She didn’t let her age or what life dealt her stop her from earning her RN Degree and having a successful and rewarding nursing career.

She enjoyed so many things, nursing, cooking, traveling, casinos, and animals.  With her enormous sense of humor and personality, she was truly the life of the party.  Her love for Elvis and Country music was immeasurable.  Most of all Peggy enjoyed spending time with family and friends and her beloved dogs which were family to her.  Peggy King was one of a kind, loving loyal strong and so very generous.  She will be missed immensely.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Sonny” King; parents, Polie Stringer and Annie Blakeney Stringer; daughters, Teresa “Terry” Powell and Rita King; brothers, James Stringer, Willis Stringer, and Harold Stringer; sisters, Rachel Stringer Ashely, Mildred Stringer, Hazel Stringer Gossard, and Betty Stringer Singh.
