The Magee Development and Improvement Committee, which operates under the Board of Alderman, has scheduled a time to meet and assist in cleaning the front area of the Police Department.

The PD Push is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 3:30-6:00 PM.

Tyler Cheramie is heading the project along with committee members Dot Nichols, Celestine Walker, Kim Neely, Jeff Blackwell, Lyn Duncan, and Sue Honea.

Tyler explained, we need to take pride in our city by giving back..and giving back means helping and working in all areas of the city.

Sue stuff

Our committee is very excited about this work day!  We have planned for months on “stuff” and feel as if we never actually accomplish anything!  Tyler has two pressure washers and yard tools.  But, we need YOU to bring tools also.  Pine straw is needed!  If you can donate a bale of pine straw, that would be awesome!!!  Maybe if you can’t make workday, you could help with the cost of pine straw.

I believe it was Tyler who paraphrased part of John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address:  “Ask not what Magee can do for you, but what you can do for Magee.”

We can make a difference!

Another project in the making is Adopt a Block.  Lyn Duncan is leading the charge on this project.  More information is forthcoming.

Tell your neighbors, tell your friends, tell everyone we need them on May 19th.

Our police do so much for our city.  Let’s  show our appreciation.
