Paul Edward Dennis, 70, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, June 9, 1951, in Collins, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church in Raleigh, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Unity Methodist Church Cemetery, in Center Ridge, Mississippi. Bro. Rich Ables and Bro. Larry Dennis, Jr. will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564
Mr. Paul was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Raleigh, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vewris Dennis and Annie Laura Jones Dennis; one brother, David Dennis; and one sister, Merle Dennis Hand.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-nine years, Judy Henderson Dennis of Taylorsville; two children, Chris Dennis of Taylorsville, and Melisha Dennis Mandrell of Clanton, AL; five grandchildren, Amber Mandrell Taylor and husband, Paul, of Alabama, Kaylee Mandrell of Alabama, Jaycie Mandrell of Alabama, Braylon and Brynlea Dennis of Taylorsville; two brothers, Larry Dennis, Sr. and wife, Jane of Mt.. Olive, and Daniel Dennis and wife, Theresa, of Mt. Olive; one sister, Carole Dennis Wilborn and husband, Jimmy, of Mt. Olive; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be AJ Henderson, Dustin Henderson, Jason Butler, Jaden Henderson, Cameron Henderson, and Aaron Henderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Blackwell and Daniel Westbrook.
