Mendenhall Elementary hosted Operation Tornado on Friday May 17th for the third and fourth graders.
Mr. Ken South chief meteorologist from WJTV news in Jackson came and spoke to the students about tornado preparedness and also discussed other severe weather situations that we experience in what is known as Dixie Alley.
Mendenhall Elementary is the last school this year to have the presentation. The students enjoyed the presentation very much and participated in the question and answer session with great success.
