Well, friends…this one hurts my heart a little bit. As most of y’all know, I do a LOT of live streaming — in the office, out and about, wherever I happen to be when something is going on in Magee and Simpson County. And for years, I had a whole treasure chest of fun videos saved on Facebook… memories, interviews, events, and just everyday life.
But… no more. 😢
Facebook made a change. About two months ago, Charlie noticed that FB was only keeping videos for about 30 days… and now it’s even shorter than that! So a whole lot of those old videos are just gone. Poof. Just like that.
So here’s our new plan… we’re going to rebuild and clean up our YouTube channel. We’ll still usually go live or post first on Facebook, but then we’re going to upload those videos to YouTube so they’ll be saved and easy to find later. Right now, YouTube doesn’t have a time limit on how long they keep videos up (but knowing my luck, that could change too 😅).
I’ll share the YouTube link so you can find our channel… and y’all, don’t laugh too hard when you see it. There is some OLD stuff on there! 😂 I am learning as I go — and we all know technology is not exactly my strong suit — but I really do want everyone to have access to the videos and the memories.
