The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in 1 John 5:3: “This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome.” The apostle John enjoyed a close and personal walk with Jesus. He learned from Him as Teacher and Friend. John knew the importance of knowing God’s commands, His laws, His precepts. This knowing comes by hearing and reading the BIBLE and maintaining an active prayer life. We’re told that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. John knew it and preached it. Let’s show our love for God by our obedience to His commands. Amen!
