New Era begins with Trojan football. A new head coach and coaching staff was present on the sidelines Tuesday, May 15, 2018. There were some familiar faces and some returning coaches as well.
The Magee Trojans and North East Jones Tigers wrapped up play in a four-day jamboree at the University of Southern Mississippi. Playing in this kind of atmosphere is as close some of these guys will ever get to competing on a collegiate field. What a great experience these boys will always remember.
The younger Trojans took to field first and handled business quickly. Junior Varsity followed and looked very promising. With the new coaches only working with the varsity boys for three weeks improvement was shown. The boys will continue to improve with the workout schedule that is ahead of them this summer. There were a large number of athletes dressed out on the field.
With new coaches comes new tradition. Watch out for the end of summer. The boys will take to the field for practice on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 12 am for Midnight Madness at Trojan Field. It is going to be an exciting year. Hold on tight football season will be here before we know it.
