Nathaniel Parker Griffith, also known as “Nate”, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, doing what he loved the most.  Those who knew Nathan, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives that day.

Nathan was born on October 29, 2003, son of Milton and Kim Griffith of Brandon, MS.  Nathan is survived by his parents, Milton and Kim Griffith; his two sisters, Anna Beth and Natalie Griffith; his grandparents, Marcus and Linda Lang, Ted and Gladys Blakeney; his loving aunts and uncles, Lynn and Tom McKinley, Don and Paula Oscai, Jacob and Amanda Blakeney; several cousins, and many great friends.  Nathan was a member of Brandon First United Methodist Church where he was baptized on April 17, 2016.

He was a student at Brandon High School, where he was a member of the Brandon High School baseball and bass fishing team.  Nathan had a passion for fishing, where he spent the majority of his time finding ponds all around the metro area and took part in several fishing tournaments.  He was also an avid deer and turkey hunter and looked forward to every season to come.  Nathan was nothing short of extraordinary and was a light to every person he met.  He not only was loved by many in the Brandon community, but also touched so many lives all over the state of Mississippi.

Nathan’s smile will continue to radiate throughout the heart of many and will be missed deeply by his parents, two sisters, and many more.  We will always keep his memory alive. #LiveLikeNate
