Caleb Donald King, 18, of Braxton, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, in Marrero, Louisiana. He was born Thursday, August 8, 2002, in Flowood, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Holly Grove Baptist Church, Braxton, Mississippi, and on Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Holly Grove Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Roger Lee will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Earl Ponder; grandmother, Mary Ann King; and grandfather, Donald Floyd Turnage.

Survivors include his father, James Earl King of Braxton; mother, Janna Turnage King of Braxton; one brother, Ethan King of Braxton; one sister, Shanna King of Braxton; grandmother, Virginia Lee Watkins Turnage of Braxton; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be John Thomas Dossett, Chance Layton, Dawson Layton, Gregory Turnage, Blake Smith, and Earl Smith. Honorary pallbearers Dillon Smith, Matthew Smith, and Bailey Sheppard.
