The Magee Police Department has made multiple arrests for DUI over the last several days.
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Everette Walls, was charged with Driving Under the Influence 1st, Driving While License Suspended, No Proof of Liability Insurance
Brian Laurence, was charged with DUI 1st, No Dl, No Proof of Liability Insurance, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Possession of an Open Container.
Alexander Pierce, was charged with DUI Other, Driving While License Suspended, and No Insurance.
Porchea Mccullum Williams, was charged with DUI 1st and DUI Child Endangerment.
While DUI first is a misdemeanor, a third DUI within 5 years is a felony, and a fourth in a lifetime is also a felony.
Do not risk it. One reckless choice can cost you your freedom, your future, or even a life. It is better to drink at home and wake up on your floor than in the morgue, in jail, or living with the fact that you took someone’s life because of your choice.
DUI Other refers to driving under the influence of drugs or controlled substances.
We are not backing down. If you drive under the influence, you are going to jail no matter who you are.
