RE: University emergency operating guidelines through May 11, 2020

Now that Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves’ current “shelter in place” executive order will end Monday, April 27 at 8 a.m., Mississippi State University will revert to the emergency operating guidelines that were in place immediately preceding the “shelter in place” order from March 23rd – April 3rd.  These MSU emergency guidelines were originally authorized to continue through the rest of the 2020 Spring Semester or until May 1st.

Effective Monday, April 27 at 8 a.m., MSU extends this original emergency operations authorization to continue through May 11 at 8 a.m.  Updated information for operations beyond that date will be provided as soon as possible.

MSU requests that all employees stay at home until you have coordinated your return with your supervisor.  All employees who can work remotely should do so.

No changes are being made to the current leave status of employees – all employees who are currently on administrative leave will remain on administrative leave until further notice.

All buildings will remain closed with key access only.  Employees will no longer need Campus Access Passes.

Any employees who must return to their workspaces should adhere to social distancing requirements and are strongly encouraged to use personal protective equipment.  If you are ill, do not return to campus and contact the Longest Student Health Center or your healthcare professional.

No meetings or gatherings of more than 10 people will be allowed and all restrictions on campus guests and travel will continue until further notice.

Follow www.msstate.edu, https://www.msstate.edu/coronavirus and MSU social media for updates. We will continue to utilize email to update you so please check your email frequently.
