While flu activity is mostly low across the nation, there have already been two flu-related deaths of U.S. children reported to the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the 2019-2020 flu season, and flu-like illnesses are increasing in our neighboring states.

The time to get a flu vaccination is now. Early protection for children and adults is important as we move toward peak flu season in the coming weeks. Remember, it can take up to two weeks for a flu vaccination to reach its full effectiveness.
