On 08-14-2025 at approximately 8:00 AM, Magee Police Department was notified by a Mississippi Highway Patrolman that he had found an individual lying in the Walmart parking lot, covered in blood.
Upon arrival, our officers observed that the individual was bleeding profusely from his wrist. As officers attempted to render aid, the individual began resisting, trying to prevent them from stopping the bleeding. After a brief struggle, our officers were able to apply a tourniquet and stop the bleeding. Officers also removed a large knife from the scene.
The individual was immediately transported by Covington County Ambulance Service to a hospital.
Thanks to the quick actions of the Highway Patrolman and our responding officers, a life was saved today. Their determination and courage made the difference between life and death.
No matter what you are going through, remember: everything passes. No failure is final, and life always offers second chances, except for death. Choose to stay, because tomorrow could be the day everything changes.
