A joint meeting of the Mississippi Senate Finance and Tourism committees will be held Wednesday, August 21 and Thursday, August 22, 2019 in room 216 of the Capitol to discuss solutions for problems created by recent flooding of the Mississippi Delta and the Gulf Coast.

State agency personnel will address the committees on Wednesday. On Thursday, mayors, farmers, businesses and tourism officials will speak, according to Senators Lydia Chassaniol, Chairwoman of the Tourism Committee and Senator Joey Fillingane, Chairman of the Finance Committee.
