JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Farmers Market will host its annual Holiday Harvest on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The festive event encourages shoppers to support local farmers, artisans and small businesses while offering unique, locally made gift opportunities just in time for the holidays. Families are invited to enjoy a cheerful and family-friendly atmosphere with seasonal décor, children’s activities, holiday treats and live entertainment.
The Holiday Harvest offers shoppers the chance to stock up on Mississippi-made goods perfect for gift-giving, holiday hosting and seasonal celebrations. Vendors will offer homemade baked goods and holiday treats including festive cookies, pies, breads, cakes, local honey, syrups and jams; handmade crafts and gifts such as candles, woodwork ceramic, soaps, knitted items, ornaments, and holiday themed décor; and Mississippi-grown products, which includes winter produce and meat products that are perfect for holiday cooking and family meals.
“The holiday season provides a great opportunity to support our local farmers, producers and artisans. Whether you are purchasing ingredients for a special meal with friends and family or looking for that perfect Christmas gift or stocking stuffer, the Mississippi Farmers Market is the place to shop for your holiday needs. Shoppers can find specialty foods, hand-crafted gifts and unique products from local producers. I invite everyone to come out and join us at the Mississippi Farmers Market this Saturday to celebrate the holiday season,” said Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson.
In addition to shopping locally, visitors can enjoy a variety of special activities throughout the event. Complimentary hot chocolate and apple cider, as well as freshly popped popcorn, will be available while supplies last. A special Kids’ Corner will offer face painting, letter writing to Santa and holiday coloring sheets. The Garden Club of Jackson will also be in attendance with an informational booth and knowledgeable representatives on hand to address customers’ gardening questions.
The Genuine MS® Store is a unique retail operation that offers the best of everything grown, raised, crafted and made in Mississippi. At the event, the Genuine MS® Store will have an open house with hot chocolate, cider and samples. Customers can shop a variety of commodities, from culinary stock and specialty foods to handmade soap products and crafted leather goods, and everything in between.
