I survived Christmas! I honestly believe the survival was truly a miracle.
Why was this year more difficult than years past? Who knows…I missed and thought more of Larkin during Christmas than years past. I needed my mama to tell me what to do in several situations. I couldn’t keep everyone’s plans straight. Gift buying was tough but nothing compared to grocery store prices. Because I am not feeding a family, I forget how much it cost to feed a group. My prayers are for the mamas and daddies feeding a growing family every single day. Ya’ll are miracle workers!
One of my favorite activities for Christmas is watching children’s faces. The pure joy in their eyes gives me strength to push onward. Our “Horn” family Christmas continues to grow…more and more children every year.
My heart aches for people who are experiencing their first Christmas without a loved one. Grief is a journey that never ends.
I am blessed with a wonderful family and friends. Your support (readers of MageeNews.com) keeps me encouraged.
As we look toward 2024, share with me some of your goals. What do you want to see happen in the new year?
Continue to pray for families who experienced fire during the holidays. Continue to pray for people who are
experiencing health issues.
Happy New Year!
