Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee for Mickey McWilliams, 68, of Mount Olive, who passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 in Pearl, Mississippi.
Reverend Roger Johnson will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Coat Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee will be in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Brent McWilliams, Josh McWilliams, Stuart Johnson, Allen Johnson, David Layton, and Tristan Johnson.
Mr. McWilliams, a Simpson County native, was a retired salesman for the plumbing and electrical industry. He was a member of the Coats Baptist Church. Mr. McWilliams proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal for services rendered to his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan Cleveland McWilliams and Evelyn Dale Brewer McWilliams; one sister, Brenda McWilliams Stringer; and three brothers, Randy McWilliams, Billy McWilliams, and Dwight McWilliams.
Survivors include his son, Anthony McWilliams, and his wife, Melissa of Pearl; one brother, Daniel McWilliams of Magee; four grandchildren, Ashley McWilliams, Cody McWilliams, Bailey McDaniel, and Austin McDaniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Family and friends may sign an online guestbook at www.colonialchapelmageemendenhall.com
