Magee High School has announced the top three graduates for the Class of 2018.
Lauren Burkes was chosen as Valedictorian. Lauren is the daughter of Susan Warren. Lauren’s GPA was 100.783 (4.0). Lauren scored a 28 on her ACT. Lauren plants to further her education at the University of Southern Mississippi and major in Computer Science.
Mac Anderson was named Salutatorian. Mac had a GPA of 100.016 (4.0) and scored 33 on his ACT and was chosen Star Student. Mac is the son of James and Stacey Anderson. Mac was also a member of the Magee Football Team. Mac plans to further his education at Mississippi State University and major in Aerospace Engineering.
Madison May was named Historian. Madison is the daughter of the late Tracy Thornton and Will May and granddaughter to William and Pat May. Madison has a GPA of 99.42 (3.9) and scored a 23 on her ACT. Madison served as Cheerleader for Magee High School and was a member of the Pride of Simpson County Band. Madison plans to attend Copiah Lincoln Community College.
